Job Description

Account Director (Environment Services, Healthcare)

Key Roles and Responsibilities 

The successful candidate will undertake an important leadership position in directly managing the assigned Environmental Services accounts.

  • Lead a large team of staff and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of smooth operations of the assigned account and meet or exceed all contractual key performance indicators
  • Deliver high service standards, drive the continuous improvement to a higher level of performance and develop sound and sustainable business and operational strategies
  • Full P&L accountability to achieve financial targets for the account
  • Trouble-shoot and manage feedback from end-users, with the focus on reviewing and improving existing work processes
  • Collaborate with customers and the team to deliver win-win solutions for both parties
  • Ensure that all work activities are in compliance to ISO audits, MOH, JCI standards and other regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that the account is operated in line with Occupational, Safety & Health policies and practices
  • Develop and build a “champion team” for operational success and sustainability
  • Support the mobilisations of new start-up projects in healthcare services when required
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Job Requirements & Requisites

To succeed in this key role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Degree / Diploma in a relevant discipline with at least 10 years of working experience in Housekeeping or Environmental Services
  • Committed, self-motivated, positive and possess a “can-do” attitude, especially when persevering in challenging times
  • Passionate and proficient in operational management, with a proven track record in leading a large team of more than 100 staff
  • Strong numerical and data analytical skills; able to analyse and synthesise complex data and translate the information to operational excellence
  • Sound planning, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Prior track record in cost-optimisation and delivering financial targets
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to deliver clear messages to all levels of clients, staff and management
  • Dynamic and able to motivate, inspire and lead the team to deliver service quality and achieve peak performance
  • Believes in people development and investing in the right resources to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Independent yet able to work cohesively with staff at all levels
