Job Description

The role of Commercial Manager leads both Demand(customer) and Supply (Partners) teams. You will be responsible for the performance of both teams, lead, plan and strategize to achieve results set out by management.

The Supply team is responsible for acquiring, developing and maintaining Partner (haulier) relationships to allow partnerships to thrive; identifying opportunities; strengthening existing relationships and collaborations; building professional networks by generating and running various initiatives.

The Demand team is responsible for the sales pipeline, to meeting revenue, GP and transaction targets and to strengthen relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain a robust database of partners that is meaningful to the fulfilment and strategic activities of the company
    • Develop and run initiatives that furthers the company’s objectives involving Partners (hauliers)
    • Acquire, grow and maintain partner relationships
    • Drive partner strategy and engagement based on data-driven findings
    • Develop processes for the Supply community team to optimize productivity and efficiency
    • Lead and manage support the Supply Community team in culture and administration
    • Managing both existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
    • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
    • Deepen and expand relationships with existing customers
    • Assist other teams in the company to problem solve customer related issues
    • Strategically plan demand pipeline to match/coordinate with supply resources
    • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
    • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks that achieve strategic goals
    • Track performance, and report metrics


    • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    • Has at least 5 years of experience in the Haulage/Freight forwarding &logistics industry
    • Has experience of managing a team with desirable results
    • Goal-oriented, organized team player
    • Self-motivated and self-directed
    • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
    • Hands-on experience in Operations/sales and Front-end roles
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people person
  • Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on client and partner contracts
